Check out this Vintage Handbag!

What’s up, Kings and Queens?! Welcome to “Story Behind the Look”! Yooo, what a week! So happy we’re one day closer to the weekend! For today’s Throw Back Thursday post, I’m taking you back to 2017 with this vintage handbag, which was given to me by a good friend!

Chanelle Clark and I had a thrift day together and she found this beautiful bag! In full transparency, I peeped it first but she grabbed it first so it was all hers, lol. However as soon as I saw it, I was in awe and it was only $6! The vintage design and colors looked so good together. The material was leather and the details were very creative. It gave me a 1970’s look! Nonetheless, Chanelle bought the purse. If she wouldn’t have, I definitely was going to purchased it! Later that year, Chanelle moved back to Jersey and before she left she gave me the purse! I was so HYPE! I didn’t ask any questions, just received my blessing, LOL! That’s how much I LOVED the bag! Chanelle, I will love you forever and ever my friend. Thank you!

The first time I wore it out was to a Black Professionals Happy Hour! I couldn’t wait to carry this bag! I paired it up with some boyfriend jeans, black student union t-shirt from St. Thomas University and some cute open-toe heels! It was the perfect look! This handbag definitely brought the outfit to life and proved that you can always dress up a t-shirt! I was able to make a casual outfit (jeans & shirt) into a business casual look by adding the purse and heels. Per usual I felt different and I loved it! I did what worked for me! It was a great night!

There you have it fam, the “Story Behind the Look”! I think it’s fair to say I have some amazing friends! They find interest in my interest and often gift me vintage things! So appreciative of my tribe. I’ll leave you all with this...do what works for you! You were brought into this world alone and created just as you are. You are not suppose to be like other people. If you want to do something out of “societal” norms, do it! Thanks for reading...love y’all✨
