It's the Aesthetics for me!

What's up, Kings and Queens?! Welcome to Story Behind the Look! I hope you all are doing well and preparing for the New Year! My New Year started 2021 a couple weeks ago and listen, everything has been going so well. So many unexpected blessings! I'm so excited for the amazing things that are going to come for SBL. I would encourage you all to set some intentions for this year and believe in them.

Let's get into this look! This week one of the social media influencers is having a "Rags to Riches" thrifting challenge and of course I had to participate! We had to show proof of at least two thrifted items. So I went on a little thrifting haul and found this dope Blazer! Y'all already know how I feel about bright colors and patterns! Sooooo dope! When I first saw this blazer, I honestly did not care what the size was, I was going to buy it. It screamed "Erica, Vintage Black Girl"! I also knew I was going to wear it as a dress as well! So after finding the blazer, I looked for a purse and some shoes. I didn't find a purse but I knew I had several at home. However, I did find these beautiful thigh high boots! Listen, I have struggled for years to find thigh high boots that go past my calf muscles, so I was so hype when I found these and they fit perfectly! OMG! They were only $7.00!! Love, Love, Love them! Prepare to see them in my outfits often LOL! I found so many other vintage blazers and shirts during this thrift haul as well but I was very pleased with my "Rags to Riches" outfit! I decided to pair it with a red beret, red purse, gold necklace and black shades. I literally, envisioned it in my head while I was thrifting and it was perfect! I was so read to create some dope content for this contest! Oh, and did I mention I took these photos on the rooftop of a parking garage?! Yep, me and good ole Tri-pod bae! Best aesthetics, and photoshoot I 've ever had! It's the whole EXPERIENCE for me!

So there you have it folks, Story Behind the Look! This was by far one of my favorite photoshoots. It's more than the photos and more about the experience! I had a great time driving to South Beach, finding a $1 parking garage, setting up Tri-pod bae and shooting my own videos and pictures! The weather was nice and there wasn't too many people out. It was the perfect day! So the next time you want to do something, make time and find a way to do it. There are literally unlimited possibilities to what one can do. A year ago, I would not have went out in public to take photos by myself. However, because time waits on no one and I am able and capable, I do what I want, when I want and so can you! I love y'all! Thank you for reading and I wish you all a Happy New Year!
